Steve Klein, Managing Partner Mr. Klein co-founded JOSS Realty Partners in 2005. Prior to that he spent three years as the Chief Investment Officer at Broadway Partners, where he sourced, analyzed, negotiated and closed in excess of $650 million of office properties in New York, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Boca Raton and Beverly Hills. He led all property underwriting efforts and oversaw all diligence matters. From 2000 to 2002 Mr. Klein was President of Kleinco LLC. There, he purchased office properties located in New York City totaling 190,000 square feet. From 1997 to 2000 Mr. Klein was an Executive Vice President and Director of Acquisitions at SL Green Realty Corp. During this time he acquired 11 million square feet of commercial office buildings in over 30 transactions in New York City. He sourced, analyzed, structured and closed a variety of transactions including the acquisition and debt financing of single and multiple assets and mezzanine financing. He also negotiated purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, term sheets, venture documents, loan documents and various other transaction-related documents and oversaw all diligence efforts while head of a six-person acquisition team. Mr. Klein also organized and led SL Green’s successful effort to raise $244 million in an IPO and $371 million in a Secondary Offering. In this capacity he reviewed and approved all public financial and corporate information and was responsible for communication with various shareholders, analysts and lenders. From 1992 to 1997 Mr. Klein developed and managed a seven million square foot third party office leasing and management business for SL Green. Mr. Klein graduated with a B.A. from University of Michigan in 1983.

Larry Botel, Managing Partner 

Mr. Botel co-founded JOSS Realty Partners in 2005. Prior to that he spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer at Broadway Partners, where he oversaw all operations, staffing, asset management and underwriting activities. Mr. Botel directed Broadway from a sole proprietorship with limited operating capability to a full service real estate investment company owning 3.6 million square feet of commercial office space valued at over $850 million. He underwrote, negotiated and closed over $1 billion in office building acquisitions and recapitalizations, managed 1 million square feet of leasing and oversaw all property activities and capital projects. Mr. Botel launched and oversaw Broadway Real Estate Services, an affiliated property management firm. From 1997 to 1999 Mr. Botel was a Vice President and Head of Real Estate at Fortress Investment Group / UBS Global Principal Group / BlackRock Capital Finance. He oversaw all commercial real estate asset management and underwriting activities for multiple portfolios of debt and equity assets. Mr. Botel managed a team of five professionals in three opportunistic real estate investment funds totaling $3 billion in equity and over 30 transactions in the United States, Canada, and Europe. He underwrote, negotiated, and closed over $1 billion in property and mortgage loan acquisitions, over $500 million in distressed mortgage loan resolutions, and over $1 billion in portfolio financings/securitizations. Mr. Botel also managed equity and loan portfolios comprising over 4 million square feet and 5,000 apartment units. Mr. Botel held previous positions at Mutual of New York Real Estate and Prudential Realty Group. Mr. Botel received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, in 1993 and is B.S.B.A from Georgetown University in 1988.

Ameet Amin, Vice President

Mr. Amin joined JOSS Realty Partners LLC in 2007. Prior to joining JOSS he was an Associate at Deutsche Bank where he served as Deputy to the Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Investment Banking division for two years. At Deutsche Bank Mr. Amin ran the strategic planning and financial planning processes and helped to restructure the U.S. Cash Equities business. Prior joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Ain was an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Mergers & Acquisitions groups at both Lazard and Wasserstein Perella & Co. Mr. Amin received his M.B.A from Columbia Business School in May 2007 and his B.B.A. from The University of Michigan Business School in April 2000.
